Parish's Adult Faith Formation...

Adult Faith Formation sessions
are held throughout the year. A session consists of about four weekly meetings of Scripture,
conversation and fellowship. The program focuses on how the word of God impacts one's daily life.
|
“I would so
recommend Adult Faith Formation to others … It is a great way to
break away from the routine of life and build your relationship with
God and others.” |
“Getting
together in a small group really helps me realize how the Scriptures
apply to everyday life just as much as they applied to those during
the times they were written.” |
The facilitators
create a relaxing, informal atmosphere where people can feel free to share
ideas about faith and life.
There is no pressure. Programs are often held in homes of participants. Of course
space is available at the parish for sessions.
|
“I used to feel
very inadequate in my knowledge of Catholic teachings and my ability
to understand Scripture, but I have found that I am not alone and
that there are many others who have just as many questions as I do
and we help each other find the answers. I have also made some very
good friends at these sessions because there is so much personal
sharing (always by choice, never obligated). I don’t know what I
would do without my St. Joseph Parish family!” |
Sessions are planned
throughout the year. But, anyone can start a formation group at anytime and St. Joseph's will provide resources, materials and expertise.
|
“The sessions are very
comfortable, relaxed and warm with some laughing too." |
The parish's Ministry
Center is available during the morning, afternoon and evening hours for
those who want to start
their own group.
|
“I decided to go to the first
session and I was hooked ever since.” |
